KEY STAFF
Robin Gulliford - Managing Director
Since founding Cathedral Builders in 1996 with two operatives and a single project Robin the taken the business to its current position as one of Cornwall's most successful independent building companies. With a multi-million pound turnover Robin now heads a multi-disciplinary team of over forty people and manages numerous specialist sub-contractors enabling Cathedral to tackle the most ambitious construction projects in the South West.
Barry Johns - Operations Director
With a career in construction stretching back over nearly fifty years Barry is one of the most experienced, most respected and most popular figures on the Cornish building scene. From his early days as a stone mason through running his own building business to joining Cathedral in 1998 there is very little that Barry has not encountered giving him the knowledge to manage multi-million pound projects from inception to completion.
Clive Trethewey - Senior Estimator/Surveyor
Clive gained OND and then HND qualifications in Building Studies from Cornwall College leading to a career working for several of Cornwall's larger construction companies. Since coming to Cathedral in 2002 Clive has honed his project management skills and now plays a crucial role liaising between the clients, their professional advisers and the Cathedral team.
Mike Williams - Contracts Manager
Previously one of that rare breed of Cornish miners, Mike has long since come above ground and has worked in construction in 1986. He is a graduate of Lark's training programme where he started out as a labourer and quickly worked his way through the ranks to become a site manager. Mike is now Cathedral's Contracts Manager having joined the company in 2002.
Matt Williams - Quantity Surveyor
Matt began his construction industry career with Cathedral as a trainee quantity surveyor in 2001. Since then he has built an impressive CV in a short time most recently passing his NVQ level 4 in site management. Equally at home on site, in the office or discussing projects with potential clients Matt is responsible for all aspects of quantity surveying and estimating.
Shane Odgers - Trainee
Our newest member of staff, Shane started with Cathedral in 2006/07 and demonstrates our continued commitment to developing people. Part of his week is spent on day release to College, during the rest of the week he is gaining invaluable experience working in all areas of our business.
